Nike Mind 001 'Pregame Mule' Triple Black

The blackout of the Mind 001 run, and the one that actually holds its value. Officially Black / Anthracite / Cool Grey, but the grey lives on the insole rather than the upper, so what you get is a genuine triple black: smooth upper, columned side panels, perforated tongue, and the foam all in one tone. Nike even blacked out the underfoot nodes, which are a contrast color on nearly every other pair, and dropped the metallic silver Swoosh for a barely-there tonal one. It is the quietest execution of the loudest idea Nike has had in years.Underneath sit 22 independent foam nodes bonded to a flexible, water-resistant base. They move like pistons and gimbals as you walk, feeding changing pressure back into the foot. That is the whole point of the shoe: the Mind 001 came out of Nike's Mind Science Department inside the Nike Sport Research Lab, the first footwear the brand built around neuroscience instead of propulsion or stability.
